Hello Hughes Open Space Supporters!
It is now too late to mail in your ballot! To ensure that ballots are received in time to be counted by the City Clerk, ballots must be HAND-DELIVERED to a DROP BOX location by 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 6th You can find ballot drop box locations here: https://www.fcgov.com/elections/ballot-return.
As of March 31, only 10,000 voters of an expected 30,000+ voters had turned in their ballots to the City Clerk. So do NOT delay. Please get that ballot in, and VOTE YES for Hughes Public Open Lands!
We also have a favor to ask. We cannot express how important it is for our supporters to PERSONALLY reach out to your family, friends and neighbors and ask them to vote for Hughes Open Space, and nudge them to get their ballots in!
In the last few weeks, the special-interest-backed, dark money group that formed to fight our open space ballot measure has received and spent about $50,000…in just a few weeks. (see their campaign finance reports here: bit.ly/3meDhjv). They are clearly worried that that the Hughes Open Space ballot measure could pass, and it shows with the amount of money they are spending against the citizen-initiated ballot measure.
Please help us do with people what the opposition is doing with dark money.
Encourage your friends and neighbors to “Vote YES for Hughes Open Space” and get their ballot in asap.
